Graduate Vacancies
You must have:
- At least a 2:1 degree and three good 'A' levels (preferably at A or B grade) or international equivalents. Please note that successful applicants will be required to provide proof of qualifications.
- Analytical ability: favoured degree disciplines include Economics, Maths, Psychology and Social Sciences. Language graduates will also be considered, particularly those who have some practical research experience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
The Role
Although the Trainee Research Executive role will vary according to project demands, a TRE is likely to be involved in the following activities during their first year:
- Carrying out desk research, either as part of a project or to gather information for proposals /sales and marketing purposes.
- Collation of costs and details from potential partner fieldwork agencies for proposal purposes.
- Development of samples / contact lists.
- Translation and translation checking.
- Managing and briefing of UK and international fieldwork agencies
- Setting up code frames, coding and checking completed questionnaires.
- Assisting with the analysis of the research data (normally as part of a team with more senior staff).
- Supporting the process of report and presentation production with data input and the creation of charts.
The Training
Through a combination of internal and external training courses, an exam, an integrated assignment and portfolio, graduates will at the end of three years achieve full membership of the MRS. TREs will also spend time at the RS Group fieldwork agency, Kudos: http://www.kudosresearch.com and are likely to work on RS Consulting projects on an 'as and when' basis: http://www.rsconsulting.com
